Fall is a great time to plan projects before winter weather arrives. Whether you are replacing window coverings, updating worn flooring, or finishing a second home, the right materials can make a noticeable difference in how your home looks and functions throughout the year.
This fall, we have several Hunter Douglas and flooring promotions available through December 31, 2026. You can view all of the latest offers on our current specials page.
Vignette Modern Roman Shades for Soft Light & Privacy
Large windows are one of the best parts of a Tahoe home, but they can also bring strong afternoon sun, glare, and UV exposure.
Hunter Douglas Vignette Modern Roman Shades soften incoming light without making a room feel closed off. Their clean fabric folds work well in living rooms, bedrooms, and other spaces where you want a softer look than traditional blinds.
When raised, the shades stack neatly to keep views open. When lowered, they provide privacy while adding another layer between your room and the glass.
Through December 31, 2026, select Vignette Modern Roman Shades are available with 20% off Knox fabrics.
Shutters Built for Tahoe Homes
Shutters are a popular choice when homeowners want a more permanent window treatment that works with both traditional and modern mountain interiors.
They also offer practical advantages in Tahoe, including adjustable light control, privacy and protection from direct sunlight.
Our Hunter Douglas shutters include NewStyle Hybrid Shutters and Palm Beach Polysatin Shutters.
NewStyle shutters combine the look of wood with durable materials designed for everyday use. Palm Beach shutters are made from UV-resistant Polysatin, which is designed to resist warping, cracking, fading, chipping and peeling.
Through December 31, 2026, qualifying NewStyle and Palm Beach shutters include a complimentary premium upgrade.
Motorized Shades for Large & Hard-to-Reach Windows
Tall windows and expansive glass are common in Tahoe architecture, but they are not always easy to operate by hand.
PowerView Automation allows compatible Hunter Douglas shades to open and close with a remote, app, or preset schedule. This can be especially useful for great-room windows, second-story windows, or vacation homes that are not occupied year-round.
Scheduling shades can also help manage sunlight throughout the day and reduce unnecessary UV exposure on floors, furniture, and artwork while you are away.
This fall, qualifying Hunter Douglas Provenance Woven Wood Shades and Aria Soft Blinds include complimentary PowerView Automation through December 31, 2026.
Choosing Flooring for a Lake Tahoe Home
Tahoe flooring has to handle a little more than flooring in most homes. Snow, moisture, dirt, pets, and changing temperatures all factor into which material makes the most sense.
Our current flooring sale includes up to $1,000 off select carpet, hardwood, and luxury vinyl plank through December 31, 2026.
The right option depends largely on the room and how the home is used.
Carpet for Bedrooms & Comfortable Living Spaces
Carpet flooring remains a favorite for bedrooms, bunk rooms, and downstairs living spaces where warmth and softness matter.
It can make a room feel quieter and more comfortable, especially during Tahoe’s colder months.
Hardwood for Main Living Areas
Hardwood flooring brings warmth and natural character to great rooms, dining areas, and open living spaces.
Engineered hardwood can be particularly well suited to mountain homes because its layered construction offers greater dimensional stability than traditional solid hardwood when indoor temperatures and humidity levels change.
Luxury Vinyl Plank for Busy Spaces
Luxury vinyl plank is a practical option for entryways, kitchens, mudrooms, rentals and homes with pets.
Its durability and moisture resistance make it easier to manage the snow, grit and everyday traffic that tend to come with Tahoe living.
See Window Treatments & Flooring in Your Own Home
Choosing a material from a website or small sample can only tell you so much. Light, wall color, furniture, and surrounding finishes can change how a fabric or flooring option looks once it is inside your home.
That is why we offer complimentary in-home design consultations. Our designers can bring window treatment and flooring samples to your home so you can compare colors, textures, and materials in the actual space.
You can also visit our showrooms in Tahoe City or Incline Village to explore options in person.
