The BEAR League is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the safety and natural habitat of bears in the Lake Tahoe Basin, Truckee, and surrounding areas. The organization operates solely on volunteer efforts from the community. Their mission is to educate the public on the gentle nature of the Black Bear and promote the principle of “People Living in Harmony with Bears.” The organization believes that this guiding principle is attainable with increased public education.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a world-renowned institution dedicated to finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas in 1962, St. Jude has treated thousands of children from all over the world and has played a pivotal role in advancing research and treatment for childhood cancers. At St. Jude, no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food, and families never have to pay for anything that is not covered by insurance. This is made possible through the generosity of donors who support St. Jude’s mission of finding cures and saving children.
